24th WARD GETS NEW SEWER & WATER MAIN INSTALLATIONS SIX NEW INFRASTRUCTURE UPGRADES
A new sewer project will begin in May, 2010 that will improve the area bounded by 19th Street on the south, Hamlin Avenue on the east, 16th Street on the north and Pulaski Road on the west. Completion is anticipated in July, 2010 with restoration of the street and repair of damaged parkway and sidewalks to follow. Better drainage generally in the area will be experienced and flooding during heavy rains will be alleviated. The City will make every effort to expedite this project and minimize the inconvenience to residents.
